ERC ADVANCED GRANTS 2021: 253 TOP RESEARCHERS AWARDED OVER € 624 MILLION PDF Stampa E-mail

The ERC, set up by the European Union in 2007, is the premier European funding organisation for excellent frontier research. It funds creative researchers of any nationality and age, to run projects based across Europe. The ERC offers four core grant schemes: Starting Grants, Consolidator Grants, Advanced Grants and Synergy Grants. The overall ERC budget from 2021 to 2027 is more than € 16 billion, as part of the Horizon Europe programme, under the responsibility of the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel.
The european research council winners of its 2021 advanced grants competition. The funding, worth in total € 624.6 million, will go to 253 leading researchers based in DE (61 grants), the UK (45), the NL (27), FR (26) and ITALY (15) in the lead in absolute numbers. (F: rc.europa.eu 2022).
